In what makes the next logical step for for the MikuPa live concerts, the third overseas performance has been announced! In celebration of Miku’s 5th anniversary, there will be 2 performances at each location. One for the daytime, and one for the evening. Hong Kong’s concerts will premier on October 2nd at 15:00 and 20:00, and the Taiwan concerts will premier on October 6th at 14:00 and 19:00 (all times are local).

The ticket pricing varies by seating, and each concert divides the seating into three sections. The closer you are, the more it costs. The listed ticket prices are as follows.

Hong Kong:

Section A (standing): 640 HKD ($87.64 USD)
Section A (standing): 480 HKD ($61.87 USD)
Section A (Balcony): 280 HKD ($36.09 USD)

Taiwan:

Section A (standing): 2900 TWD ($96.85 USD)
Section A (standing): 2200 TWD ($73.47 USD)
Section A (Balcony): 1500 TWD ($50.11 USD)

There is no word on any sort of live streaming for either of the concerts, likely due to the concern of piracy. There’s no doubt this will generate a lot of excitement and demand from fans around the world for performances in their own country, but I’ve been noticing a pattern. Every concert performance so far seems to be happening in terms of regional popularity. The United States came first since it has the second largest concentration of Vocaloid fans outside of Japan. Singapore came second. And now Taiwan/China is third. You can pretty much guess where things will be going from here, so keep an eye out for future announcements!

While this character is not a Crypton Vocaloid, she is still a highly popular Vocaloid known by many. It’s hard to believe it’s just been 3 short years since her release, it feels so much longer than that. On this day, June 26th Japan time, it’s Gumi’s 3rd anniversary. Happy Birthday Gumi!

Thanks to a new post by Famitsu, 8 additional songs have been confirmed for Project Diva F’s library. It looks like SEGA is bringing in quite a few big name artists for this game, and one of the most surprising (for me) is the inclusion of AVTechNO!. This would make the first time that an electro styled track was used for gameplay in a Project Diva title. Having 8#Prince in there is pretty exciting news as well. It also seems that Ryo will be creating the opening song once again.

These songs are not yet posted on the official Project Diva F website, so this is a slightly early leak. The newly announced songs are:

Time Machine by 1640mP(164×40mP)
Fire◎Flower by halyosy
FREELY TOMORROW by Mitchie M
DYE by AVTechNO!
Ashes to Ashes by テンネン(Ten’nen)
Weekender Girl by kz/八王子P (livetune×8#Prince)
Nostalogic by yuukiss
ODDS&ENDS by ryo

EDIT: A new video has been uploaded to the official Project Diva youtube channel to showcase the new tracks.

There’s quite a few game snapshots as well, but you should really head over to famitsu’s gallery to see all of them in their full size. However, here’s a few quick thumbnails to show you what you can expect. Thanks again to salanos for the find.

As some of you may recall, there was a contest a short while ago where fans could design an art piece of Hatsune Miku to be featured on Coca Cola machines in Japan. The winner was awarded with a year supply of Coke, along with other goodies.

The winning art has finally been spotted in use within Japan on cola machines. Machines marked with the artwork and the Project Diva Arcade logo also have a chance of dispensing a can with a collectable strap/keychain. Each can costs 120 Yen, or roughly $1.50 USD. Cans containing one of the straps will have it held in place at the top under some protective plastic. You can obtain 4 different Crypton characters, including Miku, Len, Rin, and Luka.

Thank you to SeyrenLK for the info!

After having such a blast at Anime Expo last year, it is only natural that I’ll be returning this year as well. For the full 4 days, no less!

Known as North America’s largest anime convention, it attracts visitors from all over the country, and even the world! The event runs from June 29th until July 2nd. If you have never attended before and you’re interested in doing so, simply click the above banner to visit the official site for details.

Those of you who ARE attending will be able to take part in a special event I’ll be hosting. As I’ve said before, I’ll be visiting for the entire 4 days. So I’ve thought of an interesting idea: I’ll play the “where’s waldo?” game. Throughout the expo, I’ll be tweeting hints about my location and what I’m wearing. People who manage to locate me will be entitled to Vocaloid related prizes!

To play the game is simple. First, to keep up with my hints, you’ll need to follow me on my ->twitter account<-. You wont receive my hints without it! Second, you will need to locate me using the hints. My expo badge will have the name “JRHARBORT” printed onto it. After you locate me and tell me you’ve found me, you’ll be awarded with a prize. The first place prize will be a copy of Project Diva Extend for the PSP. The second place prize will be a copy of the Electric Love CD/DVD album set. All following winners will receive a random Vocaloid related prize from my bag.

Those of you who cannot attend the expo can still check back on this blog for nightly updates of my experiences for each day of the event. There’s no Vocaloid concert this year, but that’s not to say that there wont be anything fun to do! I hope to see you guys there, and good luck!
