Those of you who own an Android based device and have prayed for SEGA to release a game for the platform, your prayers have been answered. I’ve been following the news of this announcement for the past 48 hours to gather enough info to help everyone get their hands on this release.

The game is being released for iPhone 4 (or iPod touch and iPad equivalent), and Android devices running Android 2.3 or higher. The game is free for download (with some ingame items costing real money) and is expected to release sometime in the Fall. The game is even set to be released in both Japanese AND English, although the English release is due to have some delay. The game is now accepting pre-registration applications, and you’ll find those links at the end of the article.

Game Details

The game goes by the name of Hatsune Miku Live Stage Producer, and features gameplay concepts similar to what people have experienced in the Idolm@ster series. You play as Miku’s producer who helps train her to be a better performer and hold live events. The more successful you are, the more money and rewards you’ll unlock.

In-game shots of Miku’s stats page, as well as a performance stage.

What I find most interesting is that the game has both 2D and 3D game elements, with the 3D sections using the same models from the Project Diva series on PSP. Given the fact that modern smart phones have much higher resolution screens than the original PSP, the models will look much crisper by comparison.

Costume selection and even some gameplay is done with PjD style graphics.

Now that we’ve established that the game is free and what the gameplay is like, I’m sure you’re wondering how you can play it. Simply visit the game’s official page and then click the top button to navigate to the pre-registration form. You’ll see a field where you can enter your email. The two check boxes are for receiving emails regarding game updates and emails from SEGA, respectively. Once you are done, click the top button again to complete your registration. You should receive an email almost immediately. If not, check your spam box.

And that’s it! You’re now pre-registered to play the demo version of the game before the full version is released.

I’ve been feeling sick for the past couple days, so I’ve wanted to take a bit of time off. But I don’t want to miss this announcement since the 2011 Racing Miku is my favorite design by far.

Good Smile Company has announced that the 2011 Racing Miku Nendoroid AND Figma will both receive a second release, as part of their Good Smile Racing sponsorship courses. If you missed them the first time around, here’s your chance!

Qualifying sponsorship packages can be purchased starting today (Japan Standard Time) at 20:00, and will end on October 9th at 20:00 JST. Each figure belongs to their own separate package, and do not come together. So you’ll have to make a choice if you cannot afford both. Qualifying sponsorship packages are usually within the 7000 Yen range ($90 USD), and include several bonuses along with the figure itself. And you’ll also be helping Good Smile Racing in the process!

To read the full product details and purchase the packages once they become available, please visit their respective pages.

If you’re wondering why I haven’t been covering much news on the 39’s Caravan events, that’s because our partner site, Tokiko’s Diary Sapporo, has already been doing that! She, along with many of her friends, have been taking quite a few images of the event, such as those seen in this article.

If you’ve been following Mikufan but never checked out Tokiko’s blog, I highly recommend you do. You’ll see quite a few images and stories on exclusive events. It’s also a good way to get your daily dose of “dawww”, as it’s her Nendoroid that’s featured in every personal article.

Quick note: Images on her blog with copyright text or an image border are the images taken by her friends.

In between delays of anything news-worthy, I’ll be starting a new weekly post called “Vocaloid Producer of the Week”. The purpose of these articles will be to point out official YouTube channels of popular Vocaloid producers that are going virtually unnoticed. With more and more official producers making their own channels, it’s my goal to point the fans in the right direction. I hope that you’ll also join me in this effort!

The first producer for this week is 8#Prince, also known as HachioujiP. He’s a highly popular and well known producer in the community for songs such as Baby Maniacs, Electric Love, Distorted Princess, CRAZY GiRL, and many more. He’s also had many successful album releases and collaborations. His most recent notable work is his collaboration with kz(livetune) on the song Weekender Girl, created for the game Project Diva f.

The channel is relatively new and was only discovered recently after his first official upload of the Fake Doll PV, which is a song also included with the Weekender Girl album. Nevertheless, it’s great to see such a well known producer finally make the jump to YouTube. Hopefully he’ll have a lot more to offer in the future. If you love his work, please share this article to spread the news. Let’s show our support!

There’s no direct viewing links for the event yet, since it’s so soon. But I’ll make sure to update this post when that information is available, and update the facebook and twitter feeds.
