Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2020 in Osaka kicked off today, and as expected, there were quite a few Hatsune Miku figure reveals and announcements made at the event! We’ve counted nine announcements so far, but will add more if we missed any at the time of writing.

Snow Miku 2021 Nendoroid, Figma & Street Train Designs Revealed

Today is a good day for Snow Miku fans for updates! We’ve had official reveals of the Snow Miku 2021 Nednoroid, figma, as well as the wrapped street train today via Good Smile Comnpany staff, and the official Hatsune Miku blog. We’ve also now know the official name of the design: Glowing Snow ver.!

First up is the Snow Miku 2021 Nendoroid design, which is absolutely pretty! in case you previously missed it, the winning costume for Snow Miku 2021 was designed by Annatumikan. Three different faceplates will come included, along with a music book for some festive poses!



A lower resolution photo of the figma was also shared over on the Hatsune Miku blog. We expect more details about this figure to be released as we get closer to the Snow Miku event date:


Please note that pricing has not yet been mentioned for either figure, but they are scheduled to go up for pre-order on February 7th, 2020 JST.

Lastly, the wrap and interior of the Snow Miku street car has been revealed over on GSC Kahotan’s blog. The interior also features a banner of the upcoming Hatsune Miku NT software version release, and another photo of the figma!

After acheiving all four original funding goals in their kickstarter campaign within just a few days, Crypton Future Media has added two new stretch goals to the Miku Expo 2021 Online kickstarter!

With 51 days left to go in the campaign, here’s the two new stratch goals that have been announced:

45,000,000 JPY – Costume Design Contest
A design contest will be held for a brand new costume for Hatsune Miku to wear in the live show.

50,000,000 JPY – Setlist Extension 3
The live show setlist will be extended to 16 songs.

Hatsune Miku Expo 2021 Online Crowdfunding Campaign is Live!

Today, the official Hatsune Miku Twitter account announced the beginning of the Hatsune Miku Expo 2021 Online crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter!

The Kickstarter campaign, managed by Crypton Future Media, aims to bring Miku Expo 2021 to a worldwide audience via online streaming in light of the current world situation.  In order to succeed, the campaign must meet or exceed its initial goal of 25 million yen (roughly 237,748 USD) within 60 days.  As of writing, the campaign has already raised over 9 million yen from more than 200 backers.  The deadline for the initial crowdfunding goal is Sunday, January 10, 2021, at 8:48 PM EST.

When the initial goal is met, Miku Expo 2021 Online will have a 10-song setlist.  Beyond that, there are 3 stretch goals that will enhance the experience.  In the best-case scenario, Miku Expo 2021 Online will feature a setlist of 14 songs, along with the Song Contest winner!

If you love Miku and are financially able to do so, consider contributing to the crowdfunding campaign to help bring Miku to the world in these challenging times.  There are several contribution tiers to choose from, all with different perks and merchandise to be delivered if the campaign is successful.  Details for each tier can be found on the campaign’s Kickstarter page.

There’s great news for Hatsune Miku fans across the globe: Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2020 in Osaka will be available for online live streaming in many more regions around the world! Online tickets are now available for the November 29th (Sun) evening concert, which opens at 6:00 PM JST. The ticket price is set at 2500 JPY/NTD$750 ($25 USD), depending on which streaming service you choose.
