The latest Hatsune Miku drawing trend on Twitter rides on the heels of the recent #sailormoonredraw trend. After watching artists redraw Usagi from Sailor Moon, a popular Hatsune Miku illustrator named MayoRiyo decided “I want to see this with Miku, too!”.

And thus, the #HatsuneMikuDraw trend began! At first, some artists tried redrawing the pose from original Hatsune Miku VOCALOID2 boxart illustration by KEI.

Then some artists got the idea to mix #HatsuneMikuDraw and #SailorMoonRedraw trends together:

MayoRiyo even contributed their own art to the mix!

And for some fun, here’s a few more! But be sure to check the rest out yourself, or contribute your own on Twitter via the #HatsuneMikuDraw tag.

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA fans with a Nintendo Switch can rejoice! Mega Mix is now officially available to download and play from the Nintendo eShop.

The game clocks in at 13.9GB in size (16.9GB with all updates and DLC), making it one of the largest games in filesize on the Nintendo eShop. Unless you have your Nintendo Switch’s internal memory relatively free, it is recommended to invest in a sizeable and speedy MicroSD card, which will also help with those loading times (128GB cards can be had for around $25). The base game is priced at $39.39 on the eShop.

Also available on the same day as the game’s launch are the 6 DLC song packs with six songs each, for a total of 36 additional songs. This brings the game’s total song count to 141 songs, the largest of any of the Diva games on a mobile console! Each of the 6 packs cost $6.99 each, or you can buy the DLC bundle for a discounted price of $29.99. The T-shirt design pack DLC is also available for free!

If you purchase the Mega Mix Mega Pack version, you can get the game and all DLC song packs for $59.99 (shirt DLC still needs to be downloaded separately). The theme song pack with 4 bonus songs was included for free for those that preordered the game early, while others will have to wait until June 12th to download it.

Lastly, the new “Tap Play” mode is also included in the game’s launch. To activate it, simply navigate these menus in the game: Customization > Game/control config > Arcade Mode > Tap Play > Enable. For the best experience and feedback, it is also recommended to play this mode with the “stylus” mode enabled for the touch pad in the Switch’s settings menu.

It is also confirmed that the HORI Arcade Controller is supported in the Western release of the game. To activate it, go to Customization > Game/control config > Arcade Mode > Arcade Controller Settings. We hope they eventually update Western version of Future Tone on the PS4 to support the arcade controller as well.

After various event cancellations postponements around the world during 2020, Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2020 in Osaka is the next to face the heat to prevent further spread of COVID-19. Originally, ticket purchases to foreign visitors was blocked due to the virus concerns, but the current situation within Japan has forced further action by the event organizers.

An update to the official website announces that the event originally planned for August 7th~9th 2020 has now been postponed to an unknown future date. Those planning to attend are asked to please wait for future announcements regarding the new event and concert dates. Already purchased tickets will be able to carry over to the new date, and refunds are also being prepared for those no longer able or willing to attend the new event dates.

There is no word yet on postponement of the Tokyo event, which is still currently scheduled for December 18th~20th. Ticket information for this event has also not yet been announced.

More About Magical Mirai 2020 in Osaka
Magical Mirai 2020’s theme is “MATSURI”, with Osaka having a Summer theme, and Tokyo having a Winter theme. The gorgeous and festive main visual art for Osaka’s event was illustrated by Fuzichoco, which also has a subtle hint at December’s event in the reflection at Miku’s feet.

The event was scheduled to take place from August 7th~9th at the Osaka Intex for the exhibition, and August 8th~9th for the live concert performances.

The theme song titled “愛されなくても君がいる” was composed by PinocchioP, and was previously teased in a 16 second announcement CM. The full song release might also be held off until a more solid timeline for the event has been reached.
