There’s been a lot to cover in regards to Snow Miku 2020 news over the past couple weeks, so here’s what you need to catch up on if you’re planning to attend the event! There’s less than 2 weeks remaining until everything kicks off on February 4th, so most collaboration announcements should be finished by this point. Let’s get started!

The full PV for the Snow Miku 2020 theme song “Poka Poka Planet” is now available on YouTube! The music and artwork was composed and animated by Harumaki Gohan and his art studio. Expect to hear this song played throughout various Snow Miku celebrations in Sapporo!

The official Snow Miku 2020 album titled “Planet Traveler” has been sampled in a crossfade video, and will be available in physical at Snow Miku 2020 (for 2200 JPY), and other shops around Sapporo starting on January January 22nd. The album features 10 festive tracks by various producers, and definitely worth adding to your collection!

SNOW MIQUEST 2020 – Find The Missing Instrument!

If you remember the riddles and puzzles from Magical Mirai 2019 to enter Megurine Luka’s secret chamber, there will be another quest to solve at Snow Miku 2020! The “QLEAR QUEST” activity will be held at the Sapporo Factory Hall 2nd floor from the “QLEAR QUEST” booth on February 8th (Sat) and February 9th (Sun). You will have to complete a series of puzzles to “find the missing instruments, and Yukine who has also gone missing for some reason!”.

There is a 1500 Yen fee to begin the activity, and has a reward of a clear file handbag, as well as an acrylic keychain! You have until 6:00 PM on each day to finish and turn in your results for the prize. Keep in mind sharing the activity on social media is OK, but please do not give away the answers to the puzzles online!

Sugai Dinos Collaboration

All Sugai Dinos amusement locations in Sapporo will be offering special goods as prizes and bonuses from February 1st through March 31st! All locations will feature two crane game prizes, which include a silicone watch and an Alolan Vulpix and Snow Miku collaboration blanket. Lastly, Dinos Bowling (at the Norbesa center only) will be offering a Snow Miku 2020 mug with the purchase of a bowling game for 2500 Yen! There’s two designs to pick from, but quantities will be limited during the event.

Mirai.ST Cafe Collaboration

Crypton Future Media’s Mirai.ST Cafe will have a Snow Miku 2020 collaboration menu from February 4th through February 11th, with 5 different limited dishes and treats available for your enjoyment! Each participating item also gives you a free grab for a random can badge with a Snow Miku or Rabbit Yukine design. The collaboration food items include a Rin & Len themed soup, a Meiko & Kaito themed soda, a Luka themed strawberry milk, a Miku themed ham and green onion sandwich, and a “do re mi fa” deluxe dessert platter!

From February 4th~7th, it’s free-seating at the cafe. But due to increased visitor volume on the weekend, February 8th~10th is reservation-only. You can reserve here: https://miraistxsnowmiku2020.peatix.com/

Sapporo Youth Science Museum

A special presentation will be screened at the Sapporo Youth Science Museum from February 1st~February 29th! (Will be closed on the 3rd, 10th, 12th, 17th, 25th, 26th and 27th of February)

The show is a rescreening of the “Pocket Galaxy” presentation from previous years, but updated to include Snow Miku 2020 music and visuals. Tickets are sold every day for 500 Yen starting at 9:30 AM, and screening starts at 3:15 PM on Weekdays, and 12:45 PM and 3:15 PM on Weekends.

NewDays x Hatsune Miku collaboration returns once again in the upcoming Natsukita 2019 Hokkaido Fair! The event is aimed to promote Hokkaido products with famous stores to deliver the charm of Hokkaido, with Hatsune Miku (and Snow Miku!) as the PR character. The collaboration includes limited goods, in-store videos and broadcasts, as well as an AR stamp rally to enjoy.

Starting from July 2nd, purchases over 800 yen at NewDays and NewDays KIOSK shops will net a limited edition clear file by the artist iXima on a first come, first served basis. From July 16th onward until July 29th, another design by the artist Kamogawa will be offered in place.

Furthermore, in celebration of SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project 10th anniversary, there’ll be special goods sold at the associated NewDays and BOOK EXPRESS stores, including 8 different types of can badges and acrylic key chains featuring modules from the game. Said stores will also have acrylic stand and muffler towel featuring visuals by iXima and Kamogawa on sale.

There’ll also be a special AR rally held via the anime AR tourism app “Butai Meguri”.

To enter the rally, simply take a photo with over 390 yen worth of products from the associated stores, follow NewDays on Twitter, then upload the image with hashtag “#ナツキタミク“. Winners will be decided via lottery, although creativity will also boost your chance of success!
