Fans of Hatsune Miku keep taking their love of the character to new levels and heights, but actual marriage is definitely the pinnacle of showing your love for the two-dimensional virtual idol. Such is the case of 35-year old Kondo Akihiko of Japan, who has recently announced his plans of marriage to Hatsune Miku on Twitter.

In his recent tweets, Akihiko announced his marriage plans to Hatsune Miku for November 4th, 2018, and even has certified marriage documents prepared, courtesy of a limited production run by Gatebox, the same company that created the Gatebox home device for living with your favorite virtual characters.

No wedding ceremony would be complete without the wedding rings, which Akihiko also recently had prepared.

Akihiko may soon not be alone, as Gatebox had around 3,000 registrations for marriage documents of others also interested in marriage with their favorite 2D characters. What is your take on marriage with virtual characters?

One of the most chaotic aspects of Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai is definitely finding where you have to go to get certain goods at the exhibitions. One fan named R.J on Twitter made visual maps showing which official goods will be available at which booths for both the Osaka and Tokyo locations! Larger versions of the maps are also linked for download.

Kudos to R.J for putting this together! Magical Mirai 2018 Official Site → https://magicalmirai.com/2018/

Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2018 is being hosted in 2 cities this year, with the 2nd one located in Chiba prefecture of the greater Tokyo area. Chiba City knows how big of a role Hatsune Miku plays with the local tourism when Magical Mirai comes to town, and has begun a monorail collaboration to celebrate the occasion!

One of their monorail cars has been changed from the usual “Urban Flyer” spec to a “Miku Flyer” specification car, decorated with Magical Mirai 2018 artwork, and a new colorful collaborative art design by Saitou Naoki! Since the car “flys” around the city from a hanging monorail, the illustration fittingly depicts Miku flying around the city on a rainbow of color! The poster below can also be seen hanging inside the car:

The Chiba City monorail collaboration will run until September 30th, so there’s plenty of time for visitors in the area for Magical Mirai 2018 to check it out! Chiba Monorail company will also be selling goods with this artwork at Magical Mirai in Tokyo. One last little surprise is the car’s musical jingle has been modified to sound like Magical Mirai 2018’s theme song, “Greenlights Serenade”, and Miku herself makes the departure announcements! Check out a video recorded below on Twitter.
